Sampada Agri’s strawberry cultivation operation near Modimolle, South Africa, spans over 20 hectares of advanced tunnels, showcasing a commitment to innovation, precision, and delivering top-quality strawberries globally. The unique climate and infrastructure provide an exceptional environment for early-season strawberry cultivation. The use of hydroponic growing solutions is a key highlight, revolutionizing traditional agricultural practices. This method eliminates the need for soil, allowing precise control over nutrient delivery, water conservation, and disease management.

Strategically managing micro-climates and utilizing an elevated growing medium enable Sampada Agri to capitalize on an early growing season, targeting the June to September export window.Quality control is a top priority at Sampada Agri, with a focus on meeting and exceeding consumer expectations. The company maintains the highest food safety standards and certifications, ensuring that every strawberry complies with strict regulations for safe consumption.

This integrated approach guarantees that every berry retains its exceptional quality throughout the entire value chain, from cultivation to the hands of consumers worldwide.

• Cow & Calf Operation: We maintain a high-quality herd, including breeds such as Bonsmara, Beefmaster, Brahman, and Simbra. Sourced from leading stud breeders, our cows give birth to calves.
• Backgrounding & Feedlot: Male calves are weaned, moved to the backgrounding operation, and, upon reaching the desired weight, transitioned to the feedlot.
• Silage and Cash Crop: Silage is crucial for cattle nutrition, and we mitigate costs by planting our own silage. Cash crops contribute funds for additional silage and support crop and silage rotation.
• Meat and Processing Facility & Deli: Cattle from the feedlot are sent to an abattoir, and quarters are transported to our processing facility for deboning and further processing. The resulting meat is sold directly through our Deli to the public and retailers.

• We acquired 50% of an existing cannabis farm in September 2023, which only had a licensed cultivation capacity of 1,020m2.
• Since our acquisition we have expanded the operation to cover 7,000m2.
• Our cannabis strategy is to produce high quality cannabis flower for both the local and export market.

Why we invested in cannabis:

• The local cannabis industry is still in its early stages, therefore provide significant upside to a high-growth and profitable sector.
• The industry also provides vast opportunity for vertical integration.
• Our 5-year goal for the Cannabis operation is to have  ±1.15 HA of operational  greenhouse tunnels  and an indoor growing facility that will produce ±2 000kg per year.
• We intend to have the operation vertically integrated within the timeframe.
